Aleisha Prather (b. 1986, Arkansas, US)

is a sculptor, painter, and muralist specializing in fantasy works inspired by nature and the enchanting allure of fairies. Her art is characterized by an exploration of new mediums with each body of work, reflecting her constant drive for creative evolution. Prather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Arts Education from the University of South Florida in 2017. She quickly gained recognition in the art community, receiving the "Best of Show in Environmental Work" and the "People’s Choice" award at the Dolls and Where They Live exhibition at Florida Craft Art Gallery, St. Petersburg, FL, in 2018. That same year, she was featured as an emerging artist in the Dali Dozen show at the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, FL.
In 2019, Prather exhibited her work at the Ringling Museum's Ringling Underground event in Sarasota, FL, and her live painting performances and artworks have since been featured at music festivals across Florida. In 2022, she participated in group shows such as Lit and For the Love of Function at Atelier de SoSi Gallery in St. Petersburg, FL.
In 2021, Prather was awarded an Individual Artist Grant from the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance to develop an oversized installation of milkweed flowers, which became a highlight of the City of St. Petersburg's First Night Celebration for three consecutive years. From 2017 to 2021, she honed her craft at MGA Sculpture Studio under the mentorship of sculptor Mark Aeling, creating public artworks that expanded her expertise. Now working independently, Prather creates site-specific sculptures and murals that continue to captivate audiences, blending elements of fantasy with her passion for the natural world.
